1. What Beagle Owner is — and what it is not

Beagle Owner is an app for beagle owners: a dog profile, pedigree, health record with reminders, nutrition, shows, veterinarian sharing, dog-to-dog introductions, walks and meet-ups, dog-friendly places, and a map.

Beagle Owner is not a veterinary service. The health record is a notebook, not a doctor: reminders and entries do not replace an examination, a diagnosis or advice from a veterinarian.

2. Account and age

The app also works without an account — then everything stays on your device. An account is needed for synchronisation, veterinarian sharing, the community features and the subscription.

An account may be created by a person aged 14 or over.

You are responsible for keeping your sign-in details confidential.

3. Your data and your dog's data

How data is processed is set out in the [Privacy Policy](privacy.en.md). The essence: without an account the record does not leave the phone; with an account it is synchronised, together with the dog's photo; all visibility settings are off by default; location is processed only for the features you explicitly enable, as described there.

When you enter data about other people — a previous owner, a breeder — you are responsible for having grounds to do so. Write about the dog, not about the people.

4. The data is yours; the care is shared

With an account, the data is also stored on the server and survives a change of phone. Without an account the only copy is on the device — a lost phone without synchronisation means a lost record.

5. Sharing with a veterinarian

Sharing creates a link: whoever has the link sees what you shared — without an account and without a password, deliberately. Treat the link like a document; you choose the scope and may revoke it at any time — a revoked link stops immediately. Sending it is your action and your choice of recipient.

6. Introductions, walks, meet-ups and notifications

An introduction happens via a QR code scanned live between two phones — physical presence is the consent. Either side may end it.

All notifications are off by default — walk announcements, group-walk and meet-up invitations reach you only after you explicitly enable them.

Live sharing of where you are walking happens by your explicit action, reaches only the owners of introduced dogs, and stops by itself after the duration you chose.

Meet-ups with a date and RSVP are visible to those invited; your attendance is visible to the other participants.

7. Reviews of places and the map

A review of a place is public: one rating per user per place, changeable. Not allowed: insults, personal data of third parties, content unrelated to the place, advertising, false claims about a competitor. A violating review may be removed — but never merely for being negative. Reports go to the address in section 11 and receive a reasoned reply.

If you mark a place on the map, the point is public — the place is a community resource. The map uses OpenStreetMap tiles.

8. The Plus plan

The core features are free. Plus is a monthly subscription: new subscribers get the first 14 days free, then the price shown in the app and in the store before you confirm anything.

The purchase goes through the App Store / Google Play; you cancel from the store's settings, at any time, effective from the end of the paid period. When a subscription lapses, paid features are limited going forward — nothing of yours is deleted and no free feature is ever locked retroactively.

9. Liability

The app is provided with the care of a diligent trader, without a guarantee of uninterrupted operation.

Beagle Owner is not liable for: decisions based on the health record or the reminders (section 1); the content of other users' reviews; the consequences of a link you passed on or lost (section 5); loss of data kept only on the device without an account (section 4); meetings and introductions between dogs — those are between the owners; the accuracy of places imported from OpenStreetMap (vet/dog-hotel nearby — address, phone, hours, 24/7 emergency care) — in a genuine emergency, call ahead to confirm.

Nothing here limits your rights as a consumer under applicable consumer protection law and EU law.

10. Closing and restrictions

You may close your account at any time; the local data remains on your device. Access may be restricted in case of abuse — fake reviews, third parties' personal data, misuse of QR introductions — with reasons given and an opportunity to object.

11. Changes, languages, governing law and contact

A material change is announced at least 14 days in advance. Bulgarian law and directly applicable EU law apply; where you are a consumer, the courts of your place of residence have jurisdiction. The terms exist in Bulgarian, English and Portuguese — the version in the language in which you accepted them is binding on you.
